The project consisted of a major addition and renovation to an existing 40 year old high school. The 42,000 square foot addition included a new library, gymnasium and 12 industrial arts classrooms. The renovation involved the replacement of the existing mechanical and electrical systems as well as most finishes.
Brick was used as a finish material on the addition to soften the overpowering concrete facility. Earth tone colors were used throughout the renovation to further help with the massing. New landscaping was installed in various patterns and shapes to help reduce the existing concrete scale. |
